The artistic talents of more than 300 adults with developmental disabilities are presently on display in Fontana.

First Step Independent Living Program in Fontana is hosting its first “Art Through My Eyes” art exhibit, which will run through Tuesday, Aug. 30 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Koehler Art Gallery, 8536 Sierra Avenue.

An opening reception for the event was held on Aug. 22, with several city officials and other community members in attendance.

“We’re so proud of our consumers who participated in this event, and we want to do this again next year,” said Mary Visor, who coordinated the exhibit. “They are so thrilled to be able to show their talents.”

Local residents are invited to see art exhibit and cast their vote for their favorite art piece. Votes will be tallied after the exhibit and winners will be announced. Also, all of the artwork is available for purchase.
